About the MONTESSORI METHOD:

Dr. Maria Montessori revolutionized the education world, particularly for the preschool age child, at the beginning of the last century. Her method includes using materials that enable the child to self-discover with built in self-correction instead of rote memorization and dependency on teacher-correction. The Montessori method continues to flourish today in schools and homes around the world.

Montessori recognized the importance of beauty and nature - principles reflected in our products. True to nature, we only use solid hardwoods for our products - not plywoods or plastic. We finish our products with a food-grade oil and wax finish - a safe finish which exposes the natural beauty and grain of the wood.
